10 月 5 日，据 WSJ 报道，知情人士称在 FTX 倒闭前几个月，其一些美国员工发现了平台上所谓的「后门」，Alameda Research 据称利用该「后门」从 FTX 提取了数十亿美元的客户资金。发现这一问题的员工向他们所在部门的高层报告了此情况，一些人称，高层与 FTX 创始人 SBF 的一名助手讨论了此问题。然而，这个问题从未得到解决。在 2022 年夏季，提出对 Alameda 拥有 FTX 特殊权利表示担忧的团队高层被解雇。这个「后门」在对 SBF 的指控案中发挥了重要作用，他因涉嫌欺诈罪在纽约的联邦法院接受审判，本周开始审理。而这位前 FTX 负责人对所有指控均表示不认罪。检方称 SBF 通过秘密下令编程「特殊功能」来盗取 FTX 客户的资金，其中包括赋予 Alameda 处理 FTX 庞大资金池的能力。法庭文件显示，FTX 的代码中深藏一行代码，允许 Alameda 在 FTX 上拥有高达 650 亿美元的负债。
