Farcaster 被生态核心客户端 Neynar 收购，两位联创将逐步退出转做新项目

比推消息，Farcaster 创始人 Dan Romero 在社交媒体上发文表示，Neynar 正在收购 Farcaster。在接下来的几周内，现有团队将把协议合约和代码仓库、Farcaster 应用，以及 Clanker 的所有权转移给 Neynar。Neynar 将负责运行和维护一切后续工作，他们是接管 Farcaster 领导权的最合适人选，他们很快就会分享以构建者为重点的新愿景。
Dan Romero 表示：这不是一个容易做出的决定。Farcaster 以及在上面构建的人们对创始团队来说意义重大。我们为团队所构建的、以及社区与我们共同构建的一切感到非常骄傲。但经过五年时间，很明显 Farcaster 需要一种新的方法和新的领导力，才能充分发挥其全部潜力。
Merkle 团队（Farcaster 创始公司）的部分成员、Varun Srinivasan（另一位联创）和 Dan Romero 个人将逐步退出 Farcaster 的日常工作，转而投入到新的项目中。
据悉，Neynar 为 Farcaster 生态最核心的第三方基础设施和开发者平台，也是最早的 Farcaster 客户端之一，其基础设施已经为 Farcaster 生态的大部分开发者活动提供支持。
Farcaster 曾于 2024 年 5 月宣布完成 1.5 亿美元融资，为加密领域当年金额第二高的融资事件，该轮融资由 Paradigm 领投，a16z crypto、Haun、USV、Variant、Standard Crypto 等参投。顶级的投资方名单让 Farcaster 成为当时最热门的项目之一，该融资事件甚至一度被认为标志着去中心化社交媒体繁荣的开端。
