政务司长唐英年明日（周三）启程前往四川成都访问3日，与当地ZF磋商香港协助四川灾后重建事宜。经济转差，季初赛马投注额显着下跌的马会，决定继续支持四川重建，包括首阶段捐款4亿元人民币，在地震重灾区绵阳及德阳市等地重建1间医院及3间学校。
. W# j$ [: y- ~下周三是四川5．12大地震发生半年，唐英年明日将赴成都，周五出席ZF和香港赛马会援建项目的签约仪式，以及视察ZF和香港非ZF组织的援助项目，并探访灾区居民和送暖。据了解，唐英年此行将正式落实支援四川省人民医院兴建一所大型川港康复中心的计划，但由于本港经济开始转坏，为免再向立法会要求拨款惹争议，港府暂时不会再跟四川省ZF商讨其他新的支援计划。唐将于周五返港。

另一方面，受金融海啸冲击，马会在新一个马季季初的投注额，虽较去年同期下跌6.5％，但马会决定按早前作出拨备10亿港元协助四川重建的承诺，率先在首阶段拨款4亿元人民币，资助及参与4项重建工程项目，可望在27个月内竣工﹕( Z& b0 v) U& @, H2 S z8 r
1）花1.39亿元人民币在都江堰中学原址扩建一间奥林匹克学校，吸纳全省以至全国最优秀运动精英入读，将该校打造成国内顶尖运动学校。本港运动员日后亦可到该校接受培训。
2 l/ c# \5 u" [& ]2）重建绵阳市第三人民医院，该院同时为四川省精神科中心，可为灾民及救援人员提供心理辅导及精神康复治疗。

马会主席陈祖泽强调，虽然面对金融海啸冲击及邻近地区博彩活动的竞争，但马会将维持向四川拨款10亿元以重建的承诺，「这10亿我们不会收回其中『一蚊』……将来会否加码，则要视乎情况」。 |
