$ b* }) z; d3 K6 s3 j/ @" s* b' e/ t" l国际篮球联合会（法语：Fédération International de Basket-ball；英语：International Basketball Federation，缩写：FIBA）是一个国际性的篮球运动组织，由世界各国的篮球协会组成，总部设于瑞士米村。它负责制定国际篮球球例、制定篮球比赛用的篮球场和篮球规格（例如：篮球框的高度、篮球场的长阔度、禁区的大小、三分线的距离和比赛用球等）、控制球员的调动、任命可以在国际篮球比赛执法的裁判和举办大型篮球比赛。由1932年成立至今，共有213个会员国家。由1989年开始分为五个地区委员会，专责处理该地区篮球事务，五个地区委员会包括：非洲地区委员会、美洲地区委员会、亚洲地区委员会、欧洲地区委员会和大洋洲地区委员会。 5 }' l3 d' W+ p6 L+ Y

国际篮球联合会（FIBA）在1932年于瑞士日内瓦成立，刚好在国际奥委会成立的两年后。原名是国际业余篮球联合会（Federation Internationale de Basketball Amateur），初期只有八名会员，包括：阿根廷、捷克斯洛伐克、希腊、意大利、拉脱维亚、葡萄牙、罗马尼亚和瑞士。国际篮球联合会成功争取在1936年于德国柏林和以后举行的奥运会加入篮球这一个项目，进一步推广篮球。; a' X; B0 \" [8 e+ o0 _

FIBA在1950年首次举行世界男子篮球锦标赛，在1953年亦首次举行世界女子篮球锦标赛。两项比赛都是四年举办一次。在1989年，FIBA准许职业篮球球员参与奥运篮球赛事，例如一些在美国国家篮球协会（NBA）球队效力的美国球员。同年，其名称亦由原来的“Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur”改为“Fédération Internationale de Basketball”，但是仍保留“FIBA”的缩写名称。6 v1 ]' _1 @+ F* b
